Indoor environment of pool halls
Halla, Ondřej ; Rubina, Aleš (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the problems of the indoor environment of swimming pool halls. Firstly, it describes issues and principles of designing HVAC system in the areas with high humidity production. Thesis then focuses on various approaches to calculations of evaporation from the water surface and different possibilities of dehumidification including different types of HVAC units. This knowledge was applied to the design of HVAC system for particular assigned building, for which are proposed two different solutions. Thesis includes experimental part, its aim is to analyse one specific critical part of the hall. Based on local surveying and long-term measurements a few possibilities of improvement are suggested.
Management and Automation of Enterprise Facility Heating System
Hartmann, Jiří ; Bardonek, Petr (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a unified control and supervision system, SCADA, for controlling the heating and cooling of the company. The system is controlled by UniPi PLC units. Node-RED is used as control software. The user interface is created by an extension "dashboard". For communication between elements using the MQTT protocol. The InfluxDB database is used for data storage. The Grafana tool is used to visualize historical data. The majority of the created system consists of open software. The system is universal, expandable and it is possible to connect it with another system. The system can be used or adapted to similar problems of advanced heating control.
Ventilation of the production hall
Krutil, Michal ; Rubinová, Olga (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
This barchelor thesis deals with HVAC system design for a production hall. Main parts of building is production hall and administration. Object was solved as a whole. The HVAC systems provide mechanical ventilation in the living spaces.
HVAC simulation tools
Fiala, Tomáš ; Štětina, Josef (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with chosen software building simulation tools for heating, ventilation and air condition: DOE-2, EnergyPlus, eQUEST, ESP-r and TRNSYS. The thesis includes basic characteristics of these programs and their main advantages and disadvantages. Next there is their comparison from application capabilities point of view.
Modern technologies in thermal management of passenger vehicles with alternative drivetrain
Janíčková, Žaneta ; Kopečková, Barbora (referee) ; Fojtlín, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the assessment of the current state of modern technologies in thermal management of passenger vehicles with alternative drivetrain. The main part of the work is based on the research into advanced systems aimed at minimizing the thermal load of the passengers and at ensuring the thermal comfort in the car cabin through various forms of the heat transfer. The study deals with reversible heat pump, photovoltaic solar panels, thermoelectric Peltier device, infrared heating, heat pipe and magnetocaloric cooling. Technologies are described from the point of view of the theoretical principle of operation, further, there are mentioned benefits and limitations of the system and the application of the technology in vehicles. Finally, a calculation of the energy demands of resistance heating as well as reversible and magnetocaloric heat pump for winter and summer operation is created for illustrative purposes. In addition to that, improvements of available systems and the potential use of prototype technologies, that can significantly contribute to reducing energy consumption while providing the required thermal comfort, are proposed at the end of the thesis.
Air Conditioning of hockey arena
Zach, Daniel ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of the HVAC system for the hockey hall. In the building, which is divided into three parts, the hockey arena "A", the hockey arena "B" and the facilities are solved. The ventilation system provides forced ventilation and regulates the air that is supplied. The devices are designed to meet hygiene requirements.
CFD simulation of air flow inside a car cabin
Kučera, Cyril ; Elcner, Jakub (referee) ; Pokorný, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with CFD simulating the air flow inside the car using the numerical calculation program Star-CCM+. The aim of the thesis was to prepare 3D geometry, resp. realistic model of the real car, preparing boundary conditions including material properties, simulating the steady state of the environment and evaluating the speed and temperature of the car cabin. The paper presents the results of the temperature distribution and air velocities in the cabin during the winter, spring and summer conditions in HVAC on and HVAC off modes. The monitored air temperatures and surface temperatures of the car parts are compared with the measured data. The average difference between simulation and measurement was at air temperatures of 2.3 °C and surface temperatures of 3.4 °C.
Determination of HVAC air distribution within a passenger vehicle cabin
Planka, Michal ; Mlkvik, Marek (referee) ; Fojtlín, Miloš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to determine proportional coefficients of air distribution provided by heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system (HVAC) within a passenger vehicle cabin. The focus of this paper is to determine air flow rates from the outlets at predefined outside climatic conditions (ambient temperature and solar load). The simulation of outside climatic conditions was executed by placing the car into a climatic chamber. The air flow rates from outlets were determined by measuring air flow velocity method, specifically by determining mean value of air flow velocity profile and area of outlet crosssection. Hot-wire anemometry was used for air flow velocity measurement. The results of this experimental work are presented in a diagrammatic form and will serve as a groundwork for boundary condition setting for computer modeling of thermal load and thermal comfort within a vehicular cabin.
Design of System for Cleaning Pipes in Prefabricated Houses
Javorský, Samuel ; Řezníček, Svatopluk (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of submitted bachelor´s thesis is to design a rotary brusch cleaner for cleaning air ducts in prefabricated houses putting emphasis on ergonomic and esthetic innovations. After a careful technologic analysis of current market and practical knowledge, a sophisticated, compact and homy design was created. The innovation is an aluminium truss construction, which fixes the basic body of the machine and makes it easier for the worker to manipulate and furtherly storage spaces for working tools were also created. The results of this thesis bring a new perspective on the issue.
